There have always been two partners of the Formula 1 races, they are death and danger. But the 29th of April every year remembers the fatal accident that Ruben Barrichello had thinly escaped. This day saw the gross accident of Barrichello at the San Mario Grand Prix in the year 1994.
He was a then driver from Jordan who was caught unknowingly in an ominous way in the fatal crash and the roll of the barrel. It happened in such a way that he had got too much of air on a curb at the second last complex and it was this time that his car lost its balance and somersaulted into the barriers made out of tyres. It almost broke into the fencing and the sight was very scary to watch. The way in which the car took was fatal and Barrichello’s helmet went off his head due to the immense force and also because the car had turned upside down. It was fortunate on his part that he had escaped such a major accident with only a few injuries.
But this event have created a long lasting impact on the fate of Formula 1 whose impact can still be felt, even after twenty year past this event. To discuss this event even at greater depths this year on the 29th of April, the former technical director from Jordan, Gary Anderson spoke. He was also present at that time at Imola during the accident. He mentioned that Rubens was almost choking when he was taken to the hospital but he had only hurt his arm, broke his nose and the mouth was also slightly damaged. But this was something that nobody had expected for the weekend to bring for them.
