Sebastian Has Taken Up A Huge Chance

Sergio Marchionne the president of Ferrari has admitted that it will prove to be a big gamble for Sebastian Vettel as he has taken the decision of moving to Maranello the next year. Vettel will be leaving Red Bull officially with the end of this year.

Red Bull has not only funded his career as a junior, it has also given him a break in the Formula one races and also delivered him four world titles. Marchionne has praises for the faith of his new driver and also desires to turn it around completely.

He said that he doesn’t believe that Sergio is naïve as he knows the level of performance they give but this time the team is dealing with the power of Ferrari. It is believed to attract the people solely on the basis of its potential. Their job for the year 2015 is to set free the potential and it is not only Vettel’s gamble. They are a part of it too as they have to reconstruct the whole team and grow it. Along with Maurizio, they have taken up the work of giving the team a guarantee and make very clear decisions as well as believe in the people who constitute the team.

Arrivabene said that Vettel is supposed to bring with him the experience as he has won four world titles. He is also supposed to bring some enthusiasm so that they can all work together. Just like them, he also wants to make Scuderia grow and that even though the drivers are supposed to be luxury employees, they still are the employees. So, they are bound to work together with the rest of them to build the team. He believes Sebastian to be perfect for the job as he is on very good terms with Kimi.

Weber warns Sebastian Vettel about the politics of Ferrari

Weber warns Sebastian Vettel about the politics of Ferrari

Willy Weber, the former manager of Michael Schumacher has warned four time Formula One Drivers’ World Champion Sebastian Vettel that success will not be easy at Ferrari.

The German has confirmed that he will leave Red Bull Racing at the end of the season and is expected to link up with the Italian giants, with Fernando Alonso making way for the 27 year old.

But Weber, who was the manager of the German legend Schumacher when he moved from Benneton to Ferrari back in 1996, has warned Vettel that success comes for quite a price at Ferrari and it will not be easy for the German to adapt to life behind the wheels of the ‘Prancing Horse’.

Weber told a German sports magazine that Vettel is a much more sensitive driver than Schumacher, adding that if anything is not going well behind the wheels, the pressure at Ferrari is much more than at any other team in the world and being able to adapt to that pressure will be a true test for Sebastian Vettel.

He went on to add that things are quite different at Ferrari and it is not always rosy for the drivers there, and there is a lot of politics as well. Weber thinks that is a driver of the caliber of Fernando Alonso cannot deal with that, then there is hardly anyone who can.

Vettel has endured a very difficult season at Red Bull Racing this season and having breezed through the world championships in the last four seasons, was nowhere near the two Mercedes that have dominated this seasons Formula One.

Red Bull Racing recently announced that Sebastian Vettel will indeed leave the team at the end of the season with Christian Horner saying that he will be joining Ferrari ahead of the new season.

The present season has not yet been the best for Sebastian Vettel at Red Bull this year but he is tippd to make an impact in the next season. He will be expected to as he is ready to make a historic move to Ferrari in the 2015 season. Vettel has been associated with Red Bull for quite some time. But with Fernando Alonso leaving their team Ferrari was keen on roping him in. They have offered him reportedly eighty million dollars which will make him the highest paid sportsperson ever. The boxer Floyd Mayweather is presently the highest paid athlete but it is dependent on his fights. Sebastian Vettel will be leading the race as far as the players are involved in a complete season. He will be leading the likes of Christiano Ronaldo which is quite unusual for a driver in Formula One to do.

Chritian Horner, the chief of Ferrari confirmed the deal in a recent interview. Sebastian Vettel has won four consecutive championships and dominated the sport for quite some time but this year he has not been able to repeat the same form. By joining Ferrari he will be again dreaming big as he tries to follow the footsteps of his fellow countryman and legend Michael Schumacher. The vacancy left by Vettel in Red Bull will be filled up by the young Daniil Kvyat who will be trying to make a mark in the championship come next year. Vettel said that he was not running away from Red Bull and had several fond memories there but he is taking a professional decision. The teams will be trying to move on as there is no respite in this highly contested sport. The immediate challenge at hand is the inaugural Russian Grand Prix to which everyone is looking forward to.
